The promotion of Poland at national stands arranged at international meetings industry trade shows will stand out as a pillar of PCB POT’s operations. IMEX 2018 in Frankfurt, IMEX America 2018 in Las Vegas and ibtm world 2018 in Barcelona are at the top of the list of next year’s events.

A crucial form of promotion will also involve presentations and workshops on foreign markets aimed at meeting and event planners in Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway. Speaking of the latter, an Oslo-set presentation inaugurating PLL LOT’s launch of flights connecting Warsaw with the capital of Norway is planned for April 2018.

2018 will also be synonymous with numerous meetings on the domestic market. Among them, mention is due to the Meetings Week Poland in Warsaw in March, undertakings intended to boost service quality through continued certification programmes for congress organisers, incentive travel organisers and convention bureaux, as well as the annual Gala of Polish Congress Ambassadors.

“I can officially reveal that next year’s Gala of Polish Ambassadors will be held in Poznań on 27 September. After a six-year break we will be making a comeback to the capital of Greater Poland”, announced Aneta Książek of Poland Convention Bureau POT.

In addition, Robert Andrzejczyk emphasised that he considers the meetings industry to be a remarkably important area of POT operations. “I wish to assure you that the Polish Tourism Organisation will continue its activities related to business tourism – the meetings industry, together with local convention and visitors bureaus in Poland”, declared Andrzejczyk, who also expressed his readiness to provide institutional and personal support for activities undertaken by convention bureaux representing regions and cities.

Finally, the meeting recognised the value of cooperation between particular convention bureaux. “One secured event is beneficial for many cities or regions. I am convinced that, for example, EXPO 2022 in Łódź – for which we have really high hopes – will also generate profits for Warsaw or Poznań”, emphasiseLaunched in 2002, Poland Convention Bureau operates as part of the Polish Tourism Organisation as a unit responsible for promoting Poland as an attractive region for hosting meetings and business events. It is a neutral partner for everyone looking for information about potential business partners and conference venues.
