IMEX 2017 is over

1  The latest edition of the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events was held in Frankfurt on 16-18 May. As each year, Polish Tourist Organisation supervised the Polish stand, which had national (Poland Convention Bureau POT) and regional convention bureaux presenting their offer along with companies involved in the professional organisation of meetings and conference venues.

During the three-day event the Poland Convention Bureau POT team supported by their Berlin-based colleagues took part in 30 one-on-one meetings while more than 70 participants attended Poland-themed group presentations.

This year’s list of Polish exhibitors includes: Warsaw Convention Bureau, Krakow Convention Bureau, ICE Krakow, Poznań Convention Bureau, Katowice Convention Bureau, Jan-pol DMC, Mazurkas Travel DMC Poland, Supertour DMC, Lublin & Region Convention Bureau, a representative of the Sheraton, Westin, and Luxury Collection chains as well as Hotel Narvil Conference & Spa.

A special edition of the THINK MICE magazine, it’s very first publication in English, was developed especially for this event and attracted great interest both among hosted buyers visiting the national stand and at the IMEX press centre.

“The IMEX exhibition is predominantly a platform for establishing relations and a place where cities, regions and countries build their image as a destination aimed at the meetings industry. The strong presence of Poland demonstrated that Frankfurt is simply the place to be”, sums up Aneta Książek, Chief Conference Expert at Polish Tourist Organisation.
The 2017 edition attracted 3,500 exhibitors, 4,000 hosted buyers and 5,000 trade visitors, who generated more than 65,000 meetings.
