In the city centre, there is also the Manufaktura, 27 ha leisure and service complex including a shopping centre, ‘ms2’ Art Museum, the Museum of the Factory, Teatr Mały (The Small Theatre), restaurants, a 3D cinema, a climbing wall and a bowling alley.



manufaktura_2012_11There is something for everyone in 30 supermarkets and shopping centres as well as in Piotrkowska Street.  You can also visit PTAK Shopping Centre, the largest wholesale and retail shopping mall in Central and Eastern Europe, with the total area of over 200,000 m2 and over 2,500 Polish and foreign companies, mainly manufacturers in fashion, footwear and haberdashery industries.

Numerous museums attract with their exhibitions, such as the only Museum of Cinematography in Poland, or Łódź Art Museum, which has one of the richest and most interesting collections of 20th and 21st century art in Europe, as well as galleries, theatres, cinemas, or Łódź Philharmonic.

autoŁódź lies at the intersection of the largest national and European communication routes (Motorway A1 from north to south and Motorway A2 from east to west). The central location provides a good connection with the biggest Polish cities, Łódź is situated from them no farther than 300 km as the crow flies (e.g. 120 km from Warsaw).

You can reach Łódź from every part of the world thanks to Władysław Reymont International Airport, situated within 6 km from the city centre.

public transport

Atransport_miejski well-developed network of bus and tram lines ensures efficient communication. Soon, the construction of Łódź Regional Tram will be completed, which will provide fast connection between Łódź and surrounding towns within the Łódź Agglomeration. This will be one of the longest tram lines in Europe.
